Angelina Jolie has said she embraced her new all-action role.

The Hollywood star plays a CIA officer in Salt, and can be seen dangling from a 12-foot building in footage obtained by Entertainment Tonight.

But Angelina had no fear of being hurt during the stunts, telling the show: "We have so much trust. They [the stunt co-ordinators] can hang me off the side of a building or a moving car or anything - I trust that I'm going to be safe and I can just play."

She said fans shouldn't be deceived by her slim frame and insisted she's always had a tomboy in her.

"I've always been kind of slight but I've always loved to run and jump around and be physical," she said.
