And the winner is: green, for Oscar nominee Close
Glenn Close will be wearing green when she walks the red carpet at tomorrow night's Oscar ceremony.
The six-time nominated actress is shortlisted for Best Actress in a Leading Role category but faces stiff competition from Meryl Streep for her portrayal as former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady.
The Fatal Attraction star revealed she was going green for Oscar when she dined with pals in Dublin's Trocadero Restaurant last Saturday night after attending a special screening of film Albert Nobbs at Dublin's Savoy Cinema.
Still sweet after 'Late' tweet
Síle Seoige, below, tells me she believes her recent tweet complaining about the lack of big names on The Late Late Show hasn't damaged her relationship with RTÉ.
The Newstalk presenter was seen to be having a dig at her former employer, when she tweeted: "are the days of the likes of Peter Ustinov, Spike Milligan and Germaine Greer gone forever? #latelate".
But Síle told me: "I still have plenty of friends in RTÉ.
"The business is small in this country, and I imagine they (RTÉ) would have more things to be concerned about than a question being asked on Twitter."
The Spiddal beauty, whose Seoige Show with sister Gráinne was axed by RTÉ in 2009, said she did not believe that tweet "would even have registered" with RTÉ management.
No doubt she will find out later this year if she goes looking for another gig on afternoon television.
