Anchorman 2 trailer: Ron Burgundy returns
New Anchorman 2 trailer shows Will Ferrell's Ron Burgundy and his compatriots staying classy as they go global as part of a new 24-hour news team.
News anchor Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell) and his loyal San Diego broadcast team (Paul Rudd, David Koechner and Steve Carell) are back, but this time they're in New York and it's the Eighties.
The first full-length trailer for the new film Anchorman 2: the Legend Continues, directed by Adam McKay and out in cinemas at the end of the year, shows Ron to be the face of New York's first 24-hour Global News Network.
“I’m gonna do the thing that God put Ron Burgundy on this earth to do – have salon quality hair and read the news,” he says.
The trailer is set to Journey’s hit song Don’t Stop Believing and also features a new love interest (played by Bridesmaids' Kristen Wiig) for Carell's quirky Brick Tamland. Their relationship looks like it will be a highlight of the new film and starts with the words: "Your hair looks like wet popcorn," and "I like the parts of your face that are covered with skin."
Ron’s co-anchor and wife, Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate), and his dog Baxter will also feature in the sequel, plus Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, Harrison Ford, Nicole Kidman, and Kanye West (as God) all having cameo roles.
