Will Ferrell's alter-ego Ron Burgundy is set to return to screens - at least, in the US.
The long-awaited Anchorman sequel, titled Anchorman: The Legend Continues, will be released in America on December 20 2013, reported Deadline.
Will will reprise his role as 70s newsreader Ron, alongside returning co-stars Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, Christina Applegate and David Koechner in the follow-up, once again directed by Adam McKay and produced by Judd Apatow.
The Elf star previously said he has been flooded with offers from stars who want to join him but wouldn't give away the possible celebrity cameos in the top secret movie, joking he may turn them down.
He joked: "I would hate to say because we don't know if we're going to use them or not..."
Will also added that the script is being written.
"We'll start filming in February, and we're looking forward to it. We've got the whole cast back and it's going to be great fun."
