Alice Eve has revealed she refused to consider following her parents into acting as a teenager, only to realise it was her true calling.

The Men In Black 3 star is the daughter of Waking The Dead's Trevor Eve and Sharon Maughan, star of the famous sexy Nescafe Gold Blend ads, and told Tatler how she never intended to become an actress herself.

Alice said: "For 15 years of my life everyone I met was like, 'Are you going to be an actor like Mummy and Daddy?' and I was like 'No, obviously not. That's so lame.'

"Until I went to Oxford, graduated in English and realised that acting was the only think I actually wanted to do."

But the 30-year-old blonde bombshell admitted she has always been a performer.

She said: "I was always the little girl who would lift up her dress to show her knickers to people in the street. I'm definitely not shy. Though I do draw the line at naked beach-dwelling."

Next Alice has a top secret part in Star Trek 2, and confessed she is craving pasta after following a special diet while filming.

She said: "The only thing I can reveal is that I haven't eaten much apart from spinach for weeks."
