OPERATION Transformation co-host Kathryn Thomas has said the highlight of her year was finding love again.
The Carlow presenter was left heartbroken last year when her five-year romance with garda Enda Waters came to an end.
However, she recently revealed she is very happy with her new partner, restaurateur Padraig McLoughlin.
In an interview with VIP magazine recently, she said the best part of 2013 was "finding someone when I least expected to".
Thomas (34) has been dating the separated 42-year-old for several months, but the couple only went public with their romance when they appeared together at the People of the Year Awards in September.
Thomas (34) is said to be very loved-up with her new man, but she warned that she will not be making any big announcements at Christmas.
The Voice of Ireland host will spend the holidays with her family, and is keen to taking charge in the kitchen.
She said she is planning a traditional Christmas, and will spend the big day snacking on chocolates, sipping champagne and watching movies.
"On Christmas Day I'll be stretching, walking the dogs, pot-walloping, setting the table, getting dressed, cooking for 12, drinking champagne, eating, opening presents, singing karaoke, delegating the clean-up, eating chocolate, drinking Irish coffees, watching movies, giving out about eating too much, falling asleep on the couch, waking up with the dog on my head, going to bed, happy.
"My most cherished Christmas tradition is decorating the tree and sitting in that evening with the fire on admiring the lights."
Thomas said she will head to the west for New Year's Eve, but she did not say if her new man will be with her.
She is now entering what she called her busy time, but she is still keen to pack more into her life.
"In 2014, I hope to run a marathon and visit Rwanda," she said.
