Former supermodel Victoria Silvstedt has revealed that she had an Irish boyfriend “many years ago” and still finds our nation’s men irresistible.
“They are gorgeous. They have beautiful blue eyes and lovely dark hair – that’s the typical Irish. And of course, Colin [Farrell] is the heart throb of Hollywood now,” she told Independent.ie.
Just shy of six feet tall, the blonde Swede – who is currently linked to multimillionaire Maurice Dabbah – was the muse for the new range of bras and briefs by Marie Meili.
Victoria said the new underwear collection is for women “of all ages” who want to feel “extra special when they wear it”.
“It’s a very glamorous collection. It gives a little more confidence for those woman that maybe don’t have the bust.”
“It looks very expensive but it’s at a very affordable price,” she added.
Victoria said she contributed to the design of the lingerie range – with a particular focus on comfort for the ‘normal’ woman’s body shape. “It was all about the comfort – there’s a lot of stretch, not only in the bras but also in the briefs and the thongs.”
Yet, despite sharing the fact that she was wearing a ‘very Victoria Silvstedt’ set underneath her burgundy bodycon dress, Victoria left it up to Irish models Rosanna Purcell and relative newcomer Thalia Heffernan to showcase the range at the launch.
Victoria – who has also tried her hand at acting and singing over the years – initially shot to fame after modelling for Playboy magazine in 1996. She went on to become the 1997 playmate of the year.
She has since featured on hundreds of magazine covers globally and had a reality show called ‘Victoria Silvstedt: My Perfect Life’ in 2008.
When asked about how she maintains her fabulous figure, the Swedish bombshell said it is all about “feeling good about yourself”.
“It shows if you have a positive attitude and if you are having fun in your life,” she said.
Victoria also said that she will be launching a new swimwear/bikini line in 2014.
