"I'll be asking Yvonne the tough questions about Ronan," insists Miriam
YVONNE Keating is to reveal all about her marriage break-up in her first TV interview since splitting from husband Ronan Keating.
The 37-year-old will open her heart to TV host Miriam O'Callaghan on her Saturday night show this weekend.
However, the RTE star has vowed to ask the tough questions after Late Late host Ryan Tubridy provoked a storm in 2011 when many claimed he let Keating off the hook over his affair with dancer Francine Cornell, which ended the Keatings' marriage.
Anger over the 'soft interview' increased when Keating hinted later that he had discussed the contents of the TV chat in advance with Ryan -- a claim denied by RTE.
Now two years later and with the marriage over, ex-wife Yvonne will face a more challenging set of questions over the split from the host of RTE's current affairs flagship programme Prime Time.
"Will Miriam ask Yvonne the tough questions? Is the Pope a Catholic? There will be no repeat of the mistake made by the Late Late Show with Ronan Keating," an RTE insider told the Herald.
The heartbreak discussed will include the attempts made by the couple to save their marriage before they called it a day in 2012.
And what really happened when she finally came face to face with Francine Cornell (28) in a London hotel room.
"There will be no soft-soaping. Miriam wants to give Yvonne the chance to speak and explain everything that happened herself," they added.
However, the Malahide woman will also be talking about her life post Ronan, her relationship with her three children, Jack, (14), Missy, (12) and Ali (7), and new relationship with cameraman John Conroy (43), and her feelings which remain for Ronan.
Ronan is now dating Australian TV producer Storm Uechtritz (30).
Other guests on Saturday Night With Miriam include duo Jack Duff (13) and Cormac Connell (14) from Co Meath who were seen by millions on Britain's Got Talent.
