Lisa Cannon has revealed she wasn't too surprised when it was announced she would be axed from Xpose.
The 38-year-old had fronted the TV3 show as an entertainment presenter for ten years but last month,= Ballymount bosses announced that she would be leaving the team, along with Aisling O’Loughlin and Peter O’Riordan.
"I was looking for other avenues to further my presenting skills and style and it was time to move on and try new things," she told VIP magazine. "I know a lot of people were very shocked but I wasn't really. That's the nature of TV."
"You just have to accept that there's going to be change, and change is what you enjoy about the business too. It's the same in journalism and radio too - it's just the way the industry is.
"I knew I'd miss the show, but I had to look forward to a new chapter ahead."
Lisa, who has previously worked on RTE's Nationwide and produced documentaries for HBO, said she is not worried about the future.
The popular presenter will now take over as anchor on Saturday AM and Sunday AM in place of Anna Daly, who is currently on maternity leave, and she told the magazine that she'll continue to stay in touch with her Xpose pals.
"Myself and the girls get on famously, as well as the production team - we're like a family - and I'm lucky that they're just down the hall from me, so I see them all the time."
Lisa joins the Saturday AM and Sunday AM team from October 15. It airs from 9am - 12pm
