Need for Speed will not be released on PC until spring 2016. Ghost Games said that this will allow it to implement often requested features.
In a statement on the Need for Speed website, Ghost Games said that the delay will give the development team the time to implement features and options that are important to PC players. It said that it wants to deliver “the best Need for Speed experience possible.”
The developer has been in conversation with fans on a variety of platforms and is “working to reflect it in the game we're building.”
“Part of the conversation includes hearing from our PC community that an unlocked frame rate in Need for Speed is a massive priority for you, and we fully agree. To deliver this, we've made the decision to move the PC release date to spring 2016" the developer adds.
PC players will get better visuals as a result, while all content updates will be made available to PC players from day one.
Need for Speed will be released on PC in spring 2016. It will make its way to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 5th, 2015. Console players can now sign up for the closed beta on the Need for Speed website.
