Dota 2 Frankfurt major will have a $3 million prize pool
The first Dota 2 seasonal major will be held in Frankfurt, Germany in November and will feature a prize pool of $3 million.
The first Dota Major will take place in November in Frankfurt, Germany with 16 teams competing for a $3 million prize pool.
The tournament will run from November 16th until November 21st. Spectators will be welcome every day, but tickets are required for the final day, November 21st.
Tickets for the Frankfurt Major Finals will be sold in two separate waves this Sunday, September 27th. They will go on sale at 11:00am CEST and then at 7:00pm CEST, costing €50 each. Tickets will be available from Eventbrite.
Participating teams that will be directly invited to the Frankfurt Major and its Regional Qualifiers will be revealed on October 5th. Open Qualifiers will run from October 6th to 9th, and registration will open to any player who wishes to compete on October 1st. Meanwhile, the Regional Qualifiers will be held from October 10th until October 13th.
In the coming weeks, fans will be able to start working on the first ever seasonal Compendium. The Dota 2 blogpost also mentioned that UI improvements and the 6.85 game balance update is on the way.
