Destiny is one of the year's most anticipated releases and developers Bungie -of Halo fame- have released further details of the Beta.
The sci-fi epic is due for release on September 9th, but some lucky users will get to play the online Beta version this month.
Players will receive three codes, one allowing them to field a full online team and the others to make them super popular with their friends. It's well known that online gaming is better with mates and Bungie have cleverly acknowledged this, no doubt hoping to generate a positive community buzz before the official launch.
Users were asked to select their platform from the 10th of July. The Playstation 3 and 4 beta is due to launch on the 17th of July, with players picking up access codes that day. A maintenance period will see the beta down for the 21st and 22nd, with the Beta for Xbox players starting on the 23rd of July.
Players who play the beta on the 26th of July will be awarded an exclusive emblem with the Beta due to end on July 27th.
Bungie, long thought of as an 'Xbox company' thanks to the platform exclusivity of their Halo brand, caused controversy amongst fans by offering the Playstation Beta first.
