Bethesda released a new video today showing the behind the scenes work that went into capturing Fallout 4's Dogmeat's real life inspiration.
Fallout 4's Dogmeat is based on lead level designer Joel Burgess’ own German Shepherd, River.
A newly released video showcases some of the work put into capturing River’s movements and habits to bring him to life in Fallout 4.
The team recorded how he moved; how he takes down a Frisbee, which then seems to be used as an animation for attacking a bad guy; and the sounds he made in various situations. And all of this went towards creating a believable in-game canine.
Fallout 4 will be released on November 10th on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
