Lucy Liu is in Cairo to promote her new film Red Light, which highlights the issue of child trafficking.
The Charlie's Angels actress co-produced and narrated the movie - which is being shown at the Cairo International Film Festival - about children sold into the sex trade in Cambodia.
Speaking in Cairo, the TV and film star said it "is really going to take a really long time" to fight human trafficking.
Lucy, 40, also praised several projects which are funded by the UN children's agency in Egypt.
