He won one of the world's most glamorous road races at the height of the Swinging Sixties, and today the winner of 1964 Monte Carlo Rally will be whisking motoring fans around south Dublin all in aid of charity.
Paddy Hopkirk, the winner of the 1964 Monte Carlo Rally, is bringing his original Mini Cooper to the Dalkey Vintage Festival which takes place today.
And festival goers will get to experience the car first-hand as he will bring visitors around Dalkey.
Joining him will be Dublin motorsport legend Alec Poole who won the 1969 British Touring Car Championship in a Mini Cooper S.
They are just two of the dozens of motoring enthusiasts who are bringing their classic cars to the festival which is being held in aid of the Down Syndrome Centre. Visitors will be brought for rides around the village and surrounding area in return for a donation to the charity.
The festival gets under way today at 12pm at the church carpark in Dalkey.
