Published 29/08/2014 | 13:36

Freya Drohan is down at Stradbally checking out hammocks, grub and chicks! Find out what you could do this weekend at Electric Picnic.

The unmissable experiences at the 11th annual festival...

1. Just Hang Out

Three days of incessant partying will take it out of even the most seasoned festival goer.

For a few moments relaxation, head to 'Just Hang Out' and kick back in one of their hammocks. (Disclaimer: there is no graceful way to enter or exit a hammock!)

2. Away With The Fairies

Take some time out to enjoy the visually enchanting 'Away With The Fairies' installation, brought to you by artists from West Cork.

This small area (beside Casa Bacardi) features an impressive light up mirror, deconstructed furniture and quirky props- perfect for an Instagram worthy photo.

The picnic benches and felt covered arm chairs also offer a cosy place to enjoy a snack.

3. Ostrich Burgers

If a bog standard bag of singles won't suffice, head to the award winning 'I Love Ostrich' van.

According to proprietor Nick, ostrich burgers (the healthiest meat in the world) are virtually fat free and high in protein.

For €7.50, you can tailor your burger to suit your tastes, with optional add ons such as Jack Daniels flavoured onions.

4. Classy Birds

With over 35,000 people expected to attend the festival, chances are you might find a lady or gent who takes your fancy.

If not, you might get a more welcome response from these hens in the Trailer Park area in the Main Arena.

5. Ready, Set, Charge

If incessant Tweeting, Facebooking and Snapchatting has your battery worn down, fear not.

The Vodafone recharge tent offers free charging facilities to all festival goers.

Vodafone customers get priority from 11-1.

Free wi fi is also available here.
