Electric Picnic: Water everywhere but rain holds off for headliners
The biggest victim of the relentless rain at Electric Picnic yesterday was the Picnic Pool.
The pool - a new feature to this year's Stradbally festival - failed to attract revellers thanks to the inclement conditions. A visit during peak time showed only six people out of the 50,000 attendees using the facility, which is just a 15-minute walk from the main stage.
The pool might attract some more people today as the weather is expected to stay dry - and the odd spell of hazy sunshine might just find its way to the festival.
Despite yesterday's washout, revellers were only too happy to party to LCD Soundsystem, Noel Gallagher and the High Flying Birds and Bell X1.
Saturday's line-up came after a blistering performance from the Chemical Brothers and Nas on Friday night.
Minister for Social Protection Leo Varadkar was among the famous faces spotted enjoying the festivities, as was comedian Al Porter and RTE star Eoghan McDermott. Claudine Keane, wife of the now retired Ireland international footballer Robbie Keane, was also expected down to the event.
Some 50,000 people made the trip to Stradbally over the weekend - with the Picnic selling out in record time earlier this year.
US singer songwriter Lana Del Rey takes to the main stage tonight.
