There was plenty of trick and treat for visitors at Dublin Zoo this week as some of their most famous residents got into the spirit of Halloween.
The zoo’s baby elephants were enjoying themselves as they messed around with pumpkins ahead of the big day next Monday, while the rhinos were also getting in on the act. The popular tourist attraction is promoting its annual Halloween celebration, Spooktacular Boo.
They will be putting on a series of different events at the city centre Zoo next Monday, October 31.
The event kicks off from 12–4pm and will include a creepy animal trail, keeper talks as well as spooky arts and crafts. Face painters will be on hand to give trick-or-treaters the opportunity to transform into friendly or scary
Halloween characters for the annual monster- themed disco on the Great Lawn.
There is also an added incentive for parents. The Zoo has announced that children who arrive there on Monday in fancy dress, will get entry for half price.
