The DSPCA are holding 'Cattitude 2015' tonight - an 'adoption festival' that aims to see their influx of kittens find their forever homes.

The staff have bestowed cute names on the kittens that mimic popular artists, like Nicky Meow, Oli Purrs, Take Cat and One Purrection.

The cats will be 'apurring' (sorry) at the DSPCA in Rathfarnham, Dublin from 3pm until 8pm today.

The summer is the busiest time of year for the DSPCA and the adoption festival is being held to rehome a number of the cats and alleviate pressure on the DSCPCA's resources.

Visitors interested in adopting Mice Cube, Spayoncé or any of their friends will get to meet the gang in the cattery during the festival, enjoy some refreshments and pick their star.

There is a special reduced adult cat adoption fee of just €50 and all adoptions are subject to interview and application forms.  If you live in rented accommodation a letter from your landlord granting permission will be required.  However, Swedish Mouse Mafia and friends are ready to go today to suitable homes so if you're interested in taking home a cat tonight, please bring a suitable pet carrier with you!
