Hollow Sounds, a two day festival running Friday July 3 and Saturday 4, has been downsized on the Saturday due to poor ticket sales.
The Saturday line-up includes Jape, Neon Wolf, and Slow Skies, and was originally scheduled to take place in Ballykeefe Amphitheatre just outside Kilkenny city.
However, poor ticket sales for Saturday have prompted a change in venue to Set Theatre in the city itself.
The Friday line-up remains at Ballykeefe and includes Happenings present 'The Goonies'.
“Despite our best intentions, and in one of Ireland’s most unique venues, the Saturday of our 2 day event hasn’t sold as we had projected," read a statement from organisers Homebeat & KPB.
"Ballykeeffe is like no other site in the country, however, we acknowledge It is a very busy time of year for music lovers and this has affected sales.”
The news comes just two days after the cancellation of Killarney Festival of Music and Food, which was initially downsized from Killarney House Demense (a capacity of 36,000) to Killarney Racecourse (capacity 6,000) due to poor ticket sales.
Tickets for Hollow Sounds Saturday July 04 are priced at €15 and available from Eventrbrite.ie, Brewery Corner & Rollercoaster Records, Kieran Street. Any refunds required are available from point of purchase.
