The glitz, glamour and gossip from the 66th Annual Emmy Awards.
Breaking Bad and Modern Family cleaned up
Despite a staggering amount of nominations, shows like Game of Thrones and Orange Is The New Black lost out.
Kerry Washington photo bombed the cast of Modern Family
The Scandal actress couldn’t resist peeking her head into a group shot of the Modern Family cast- who were celebrating another triumphant year.
Melissa McCarthy’s car possibly got towed
The Bridesmaids star took part in the live celebrity Q&A with host Seth Meyers, and told him she had just double parked, but had left a note saying “At the Emmys!”
Bryan Cranston and Julia Louis Dreyfus played tonsil tennis
Early in the show the pair shared some banter about their brief romance on Seinfeld and when Julia was announced as a winner, Bryan seized the moment and smacked the lips on the Veep actress.
As of yet there has been no explanation for Cranston’s questionable moustache.
Sarah Silverman was most likely high
On the red carpet, E! host Giuliana poked around the comedian's clutch, Sarah pointed out her vape pen and noted that she had her “liquid pot” with her.
Later that evening, as she went on stage bare foot to collect her award for Outstanding Writer for a Variety Special, she gave her boyfriend Michael Sheen a shout out as “Mr Fancy Pants Sheen” and said,
“We're just all made of molecules and we're hurtling through space right now."
Human disco ball Hayden Panettiere is expecting a baby girl
The Heroes actress and her fiancé Wladimir Klitschko will soon welcome their first child.
'I'm thrilled! I can't wait for her to come out!' Hayden told Giuliana on the red carpet.
Jimmy Kimmel took the subway
The comedian and his wife Molly McNearney eschewed celebrity convention and took the subway to the event.
Kimmel also honoured the late Robin Williams by wearing a pair of rainbow suspenders, identical to the ones made famous by Williams’ character from Mork & Mindy.
Sarah Hyland ate pizza on the red carpet
Having already won over the style jury in her Christian Siriano ensemble, 23-year-old actress kicked off her “too high” shoes and chowed down on some Margarita slices with Jason Biggs.
Gwen Stefani got a winners name all wrong
We’re not entirely sure why she was there in the first place, and after her presenting mishap we reckon she’s probably asking herself the same thing.
The singer was tasked with announcing Stephen Colbert’s The Colbert Report as the winner in his category, but instead she fumbled and yelled something that sounded like “The Colbor Report wooooo!” and looked instantly awkward.
Amy Poehler insisted she was announced as Beyoncé
When host Seth Meyer asked Amy to the stage, he noted that she had written the introduction herself. Which all made sense when he said “Please welcome my beautiful, amazing and talented friend, Beyoncé!”
