Singer-songwriter Kenny Anderson has released a staggering back catalogue of more than 40 albums. Recording under the moniker King Creosote, Anderson runs the Fence Records label with singer Johnny Lynch.
THE BETA BAND
Pioneers of what became known as “folktronica”, the band that famously claimed their debut album was complete rubbish appear to be on an indefinite hiatus. Singer Steve Mason is pursuing a solo career.
The current Choice Music Prize winner and “the best singer-songwriter that no one has heard of” — in the estimation of Ryan Adams — Adrian is a frequent collaborator and friend of Fence Collective lynchpin James Yorkston, and has performed at their annual festival event called Homegame.
A splinter group of sorts which features former members of The Beta Band. The trio released a memorably monikered debut album Astronomy for Dogs in 2007. A tour was cancelled after Gordon Anderson broke his collar bone while trying to climb a tree.
