She may be one of the bookies' favourites to win RTÉ's 'Dancing with the Stars', but 'Red Rock' actress Denise McCormack isn't about to rest on her laurels.

This weekend will see the big 'switch up' on the show, and Denise will be stepping out with new partner John Nolan instead of Ryan McShane tomorrow night.

Although there are no eliminations this weekend, competitive Denise will be trying as hard as ever to top the leaderboard.

"I'm still feeling as competitive as ever," Denise told the Irish Independent.

"There's no elimination, but the score is going to be carried over to the next week. It definitely hasn't been a rest for anyone. It's still all go and I am working as hard as I have always done."

Denise and John will perform a Viennese waltz to 'Powerful' by Major Lazer feat. Ellie Goulding tomorrow evening, and she revealed the Kilkenny man was top of her list of other pros she wanted to dance with.

"I was hoping to get John in the switch up, just because he's a lovely guy and I get on well with him," Denise said.

"No matter who I got, I would have been happy, but we get on great. John is such a warm person so it wasn't terribly odd."

For Denise, the shock of Des Bishop's elimination last week showed her that "absolutely nobody is safe" on the series.

"I could not have predicted Des going at all, and was definitely his best dance last week," she said.

"You would have thought that on a week like that he would have sailed through, but the fact that he didn't was bizarre."
