Viewers tonight saw Coronation Street's Peter Barlow tie the knot with his fiancee in a lavish wedding ceremony then share a passionate kiss with Tina McIntyre before the night is over.

Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) succumbs to temptation with Tina (Michelle Keegan) when he heads back to the wedding reception having put his drunken wife Carla (Alison King) to bed.

But an emotional Tina then runs off into the night leaving viewers guessing what the latest soapland love triangle has in store.

Keegan, who is leaving the soap soon to move in with her boyfriend, former The Only Way Is Essex star Mark Wright, admitted it was "a hard decision" to quit.

She said: "I will be sad to say goodbye but I'm excited about what the next few months hold for Tina. I've been told about four possible stories that are on the cards for her and they are all very different. I don't know which one will happen yet, but they are all fantastic and I have every faith in the writers to give Tina a fitting send off."
