Cheryl Cole and Danni Minogue look set to return to the X Factor in a bid to stop the ratings slump the show has experienced.
Simon Cowell is attempting to recreate the judging panel which saw ratings peak at almost 20m people in 2010.
He is attempting to lure Cheryl and Danni back to the panel, and will keep sparring partner Louis Walsh on the show too.
The move is a bid to stop the slump in ratings experience by the show in recent years, according to The Sun.
Cowell himself is believed to be returning to the UK version of the show in a move which could be worth €50m.
X Factor has flopped in the USA, with many believing its current third series will be its last.
Cowell is believed to worried that while he has been focussing on the US version of the show, the UK has been allowed to slide.
However there is believed to be some resistance to removing Scherzinger from the panel - her wacky outbursts and quirky personality have proved a hit with viewers since she joined the panel.
ITV have refused to comment on the reports.
