Celine Dion 'moving ahead' as she returns to work one month after husband Rene dies from cancer
Celine Dion has returned to work again a month after husband Rene Angelil died from throat cancer.
The 47-year-old singer has started rehearsing for her Las Vegas show which starts next week.
The Canadian star is "strong" and is handling life as much as she can without her husband in her life a source told British magazine Closer Weekly.
"There are times when Celine says she just wants to curl up into a ball," said the source.
"But that isn't what Rene would have wanted.
"Celine is tougher than people give her credit for. She's moving ahead," said the source.
The Grammy-winning singer has turned to her close-knit family for support, including her three children with Rene - Rene-Charles, (14), and 5-year-old twins Nelson and Eddy - and his children from previous marriages - most notably his 38-year-old daughter Anne-Marie.
"She's like a sister to Celine," claimed the source.
The singer is reportedly keen to keep her husband's memory alive by talking about him constantly but she does not want to feel depressed forever.
"She says she can't live in mourning with the curtains drawn, " said the source.
"You have to let a little light in. Even a little laughter."
Rene's illness, first diagnosed in 1999, prompted Dion to put her career on hold in 2014, suspending her Las Vegas residency. Celine said he supported her later return to the stage.
