British model Cara Delevingne has reportedly landed a role in a Michael Winterbottom-directed film about the murder of Meredith Kercher.
The face of Fendi will star alongside Spanish actor Daniel Brühl in a film that will tell the story of Amanda Knox, according to the Mirror.
26-year-old Knox was convicted of the murder of British student Meredith Kercher in 2009.
A drifter, Rudy Guede, was convicted and incarcerated for Kercher's murder, while Knox and her boyfriend at the time, Raffaele Sollecito, were sentenced to 26 years in prison, but their conviction was overturned in 2011.
There is currently a retrial taking place in Italy.
Brühl will play the film's lead, while Colin Firth is rumoured to be involved.
It is not yet known who 21-year-old Delevingne will play.
The catwalk star is enjoying steady demand for her acting skills rise after a small role in Anna Karenina last year.
Filming for The Face of an Angel is scheduled to start in Siena and Rome next month.
