Review: Pariah by David Jackson
Macmillan, €15.49, Paperback
Calum Doyle is one of New York's finest, a detective with the NYPD. When his police partner is found shot to death in a vacant lot with a dead teenaged junkie hooker, his life will never be the same.
No sooner is he teamed up with another partner than that unfortunate man is immediately killed and Doyle receives a warning that he is now a pariah.
He must cut himself off from everyone he knows, even his family, if he wants to keep them alive. To try to work out why he has been targeted and by whom, Doyle takes to the mean streets to fight fire with fire. This is an action-packed debut, the first in a projected series to feature Detective Callum Doyle.
