Finglas: A People's Portrait is an essential record of Finglas's history in the 20th and 21st Centuries. RTÉ reporter Samantha Libreri and photographer Darren Kinsella, both natives of Finglas, teamed up to craft this beguiling book of interviews and portraits which explores the neighbourhood's rich history through the people who have lived there.
Along with the views of Bono, there are contributions from other Finglas people such as writers Amanda Brunker and Dermot Bolger, politician Pat Carey, designer Peter O'Brien, singers Niamh Kavanagh and Gavin Friday, footballers Ronnie Whelan and Stephen Kelly, puppeteer Paula Lambert and many more less well known but equally impressive individuals who talk about their lives in and experiences of Finglas.
