Danielle Hope, who plays Dorothy in the new musical The Wizard of Oz, is outshone by her dog.
It was the hair of the dog for Danielle Hope after the opening of The Wizard of Oz. The 18-year-old, who got the part of Dorothy in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s West End musical after winning the BBC talent show Over the Rainbow, found a number of the critics were taken less by her than Dazzle, the West Highland terrier who played Toto.
Worse, Rupert Everett, one of the celebrities at the first night, told me Dazzle had “stolen the show.” How can this man claim to be a friend of Dorothy?
