Booker-nominated author slap bang in the public eye

Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown Library Voices Reading Series hosts a reading by International Writer in Residence, the award-winning Australian novelist Christos Tsiolkas.

Christos will read from his bestselling novel The Slap in County Hall, Marine Road, Dun Laoghaire, on August 4 at 7.30pm and will discuss the book with John Boyne. Tickets (€5) are available at the Pavilion box office at (01) 231 2929.

The Slap recounts what happens when a man strikes another parent's child and questions how our everyday social lives are structured. Last week it was announced that it was one of the 13 books on the Man Booker Prize longlist.
