AN Irish play starring former 'Harry Potter' star Daniel Radcliffe has opened on New York's Broadway.
Last night was the opening night of 'The Cripple Of Inishmaan', which will run until July at the Cort Theatre.
Radcliffe shares the stage with Irish stars Sarah Greene and Pat Shortt who also performed alongside him in the play in London last year.
Written by Martin McDonagh, it is set on a remote island off the west coast of Ireland.
Radcliffe plays Cripple Billy while Pat Shortt stars at Johnnypateenmike, the local busybody.
The play got rave reviews in London last year and 'Variety' magazine praised Shortt's performance in its review, describing a "monstrously funny rogue in Pat Shortt's Falstaffian performance".
Last night, Shortt tweeted: "Second act on Broadway about to begin the producers have informed me that Tipp beat Clare. As Johnnypateen would say "it's a great day".
