Cream of art, design and craft on show in Kilkenny

Reflecting the current shape of art, design and craft in Ireland today is the National Craft Gallery's newest exhibition, Future Beauty? The exhibition's curator, Amanda Games, has chosen works from 26 makers who have some connection with Ireland, be it their birthplace, where they learned their craft or their place of residence.

The objects in the show are made from a wide variety of materials and technologies, as well as having many cultural influences.

Roisin de Buitlear's intricate glasswork is included, as is Jennifer Hickey's porcelain and Michael McCrory's salt silver and enamel bowls.

The exhibition in the Craft Council's Kilkenny headquarters runs until March 13.
