WATCH: Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg in epic fail as they try to pronounce traditional Irish names

IT'S well-known that foreigners struggle to pronounce most traditional Irish names, and often end up uttering a completely different word.

Xpose's Peter O'Riordan decided to test out the Gaeilge skills of Hollywood actors As Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg who were in Dublin to attend the premiere of their new movie 'Daddy's Home'.

Cards with popular Irish names are flashed in front of the A-List actors and they genuinely try to pronounce the names as best they can.

It's impossible not to laugh as the duo fail to annunciate any of the names - ‘Aisling’, ‘Eoghan’, ‘Siobhan’ or ‘Oisín’  - correctly.

Will Ferrell reveals that he doesn’t think his children find him that funny in person.

“They would say that they do love me and like me a lot but that I’m not that funny really in person, they kinda don’t know why people would be yelling my name.

"I think they would call me under-whelming," he quipped.
