A time-lapse video capturing the beauty and the vastness of the historic Père Lachaise cemetery has become a hit online, gaining tens of thousands of fans since it was first uploaded in August.
The video shows the thousands of tombs and statues across the Parisian cemetery, final resting place to hundreds of notables including Irish author and poet Oscar Wilde.
Mathieu Stern, a French photographer and producer created the video to tell the 'story of life and death' through the statutes that are scattered throughout the cemetery.
Père Lachaise Cemetery is the largest cemetery in the city of Paris, and it is thought more than one million people are buried there.
