Watch as 5000 ducklings go for their first ever swim and realise that water is really all it is quacked up to be.

It is a veritable parade of ducks as dozens of people look in amazement.

An annual tradition in Taizhou in China, the birds are taken to a local feeding pond en masse by a single worker.

Footage of the event shows many onlookers exclaiming in delight at the unusual sight – with one child stamping his feet impatiently near the little birds, as his parents laugh.

Finally, the ducklings reach their destination, nearly a half a mile from where they are raised, and swim slowly in the pond .
