A TV presenter was left red faced after a live TV interview with a jockey took a strange turn.

Jockey Josephine Gordon was interviewed by Derek Thompson after her race, and he finished by asking her if her mother would be watching.

"She'd be in bed," Josephine smiled.

But Derek quipped: "If I know your mum, she certainly won't."

Recovering back in studio, Thompson’s colleague Matt Chapman looked straight at the screen, digesting what he’d just heard.

“We just don’t know how well Tommo knows her mum,” he said.
