Taoiseach Enda Kenny might be a suave operator when it comes to the Dáil but he had little room to manoeuvre when he got trapped in a lift during a tour of a food plant in County Kildare.
Fine Gael momentarily lost some of its key members on Thursday when the Taoiseach and Ministers Simon Coveney and Jimmy Deenihan got stuck between floors at the new multi-million euro Kerry Group global centre.

A technician was called and Mr Kenny and his colleagues were freed after a few minutes, just in time for a tour of the centre's beverage suite.
Not one to let a little thing like ‘false imprisonment’ put a downer on the official opening of the new food technology centre, Diaspora Minister Deenihan describing the lift as a "good meeting room" and "intimate".
