18-year-old students, Katie Walsh Murphy, Ruth Crowley and Sarah Murphy, from Coláiste na Toirbhirte in Bandon performed the song Tell Me It's Not True from the musical Blood Brothers at a graduation ceremony.

Katie's mother Rachel emailed the video of the talented trio and said the audience members were so moved that they were wiping tears from their eyes as they watched the girls perform.

Not only are the girls incredibly talented singers but each of them play an instrument: Katie plays guitar, Sarah plays piano and Ruth plays both.

Although music if their first love the girls need a back-up plan as they understand it can be difficult to make it in the entertainment industry.

They plan to attend college this year and Katie will study business, Sarah hopes to be a primary school teacher and Ruth is looking at mixing primary school teaching with psychology.

However, music will always play a big role in their lives, especially musical theatre.

The girls have been amazed at the level of attention their performance has garnered since the video was uploaded to Facebook.

It has been viewed over 5,000 times since it was posted on Sunday.

Speaking about their newfound fame, Ruth said:"Wow! This is so surreal. I cannot believe all the views we are getting and the positive reaction, it's amazing ! Thank you to everyone".
