Italy have been the controlling force in Group E of the Euros but one Irish pub is determined to let them know that we won't give up without a fight.

Ireland face Italy tonight and the whole country is behind the Boys in Green as preparations get underway in Lille.

And one pub in Mullingar wants the Azzurri to know that they're taking matters very seriously and a loss for Ireland won't be taken lightly.

A sign outside John Daly's pub has a very strong message for our opponents.

"Dear (good friend) Italy," it begins.

"You know the way we think you're sound and we love your wine, restaurants, chippers and...

"We will boycott all of these if you don't let us win on Wednesday. Lots of love, everyone in Ireland."

The sign was put up on Tuesday night on the pub's official Facebook page and has already gone viral as fans see the humour in the message.

Although, wr can't imagine anyone would be keen to give up pizza, wine, pasta and a single of chips anytime soon. Even if the Italians beat us 10-0.

We'll just be a lot more bitter when we're drinking our glass of Barbera and family-size box of Ferrero Rocher.
