She warmed the nation's hearts with an act of compassion that summed up everything about the GAA - and now, Jennifer Malone has been thanked by the Déise themselves.
A photograph of Kilkenny supporter Jennifer comforting distraught Waterford star Pauric Mahony at the final whistle of the All-Ireland hurling semi-final replay went viral just moments after the match.
Jennifer (17), from Clane, Kildare, rushed on to the pitch to celebrate the Cats' two-point win, but made sure to stop by Mahony and put her arm around the Déise forward.
The sports fan has now been presented with a signed hurley, a framed photo signed by Pauric Mahony and the jersey he wore on that fateful day.
The framed image reads; "Thank you for your kind support".
Proud mum Donna said she was "wowed" by the return gesture.
"Not only are the great Dublin fans rewarding Jennifer with a special signed jersey, we met Karen from Club Deise, the Waterford supporter's club, in Naas and she presented Jennifer with a signed hurl," she said.
"[She was also presented with] a beautiful framed photo signed by Pauric Mahony and the jersey he wore on Saturday which Jennifer insisted on wearing as soon as we got in the car. Just wow ."
Jennifer was also the recipient of a phonecall from Kilkenny hurling legend Henry Shefflin today during an interview on KCLR Live.
