In the latest bizarre social media trend, Twitter users in Japan have taken to 'fainting' while walking their dogs to record their reaction.

Japanese users are tweeting videos with the caption 'Reaction when the owner falls suddenly'.

Surprisingly, in the vast majority of cases the dogs seem very unconcerned by the sudden fall of their owner. Some come to investigate while most just patiently wait for them to get back up and continue the walk. One dog used the incident as an opportunity to escape.

One owner posted a video of their bird reaction their fake fall, and the bird seemed to care more than most of the dogs.
