Panti Bliss bags 29th spot in TIME 100 most influential people poll, ahead of Rihanna, Bieber and Trump

Panti Bliss has been voted the 29th most influential person in the world in TIME magazine's annual poll.
The TIME 100 most influential poll is comprised of "world leaders, great minds in science and technology, outstanding figures in the arts and other icons of the moment".

TIME’s editors ultimately choose the TIME 100, which will be announced April 21.
However, as public voting closed on Thursday night Panti had come in 29th, just behind South Korean singer CL of 2NE1 and ahead of Elon Musk. They each had 1 per cent of the vote.

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders won the TIME 100 reader poll with 3.3 per cent of the vote, ahead of Hilary Clinton who was 25th with 1 per cent of the vote.
In second place was South Korean boy band Big Bang at 2.9 per cent, ahead of Burmese leader Aung San Suu Kyi’s 2.2%, and President Obama’s 2%.
Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Michelle Obama, Pope Francis and Leonardo DiCaprio round out the top 10.
Clinton, Sanders’ opponent for the Democratic nomination, finished with 1% of the yes votes.
Panti was seven places ahead of Rihanna twelve and thirteen places ahead of Star Wars director JJ Abrams and The Revenant director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu respectively, both of whom garndered just 0.8% of the vote.
Vladimir Putin came in at 44th position with Usain Bolt at 45th, Amy Schumer at 47th, and Lionel Messi at 61.
