Is this the best caption of all time?
In these troubled times of political and economic uncertainty, it can help to see the lighter side of things. Especially when it comes to Nigel Farage.
And that’s why Sky News really outdid themselves for comic relief with the description of Nigel Farage as ‘UKIP leader (we think)’.
Quite possibly the greatest piece of captioning of all time. pic.twitter.com/bzlKtLekTd— Ciaran Fleming (@CiaranFleming10) 5 October 2016
Nigel Farage resigned as UKIP leader after the Brexit vote, saying “I wanted my country back, and now I want my life back.” He promised to stay involved in the party but wanted some R&R after a long, difficult campaign.
He was replaced last month by Diane James, who has now stepped down after just 18 days in the role. And because she hadn’t yet formalised her nomination, Nigel might still be UKIP leader. Or they might not have one. Hence the confusion.
But if you’ve been missing Nigel’s hijinks, don’t get your hopes up – he said today that he wouldn’t take the job back “for ten million dollars.” And now the real question is, would he do it for ten million euro?
