'Is that it?' - World reacts to news Prince Philip will retire from plaque-unveiling
When Britain and Ireland woke up this morning it was to news that an announcement from Buckingham Palace was imminent.
Queen Elizabeth had reportedly summoned all her staff to an 'emergency meeting' early this morning and speculation on social media had reached a deafening crescendo by 10am as the news emerged...
The big revelation was that Prince Philip (95) would be stepping down from official duties in the autumn.
