Children are confined to a classroom for about five hours a day, five days a week. It's understandable that they'd want some downtime every now and then.

Young Colin took matters into his own hands when he decided to trick his parents into letting him stay at home by forging a note from his teacher, Mrs Teague.

'Mrs Teague' informed his parents that there would be no school for the entire week.

She also kindly suggested that Colin should play video games for the duration of his time off.

Just to be sure there was no confusion, she signed the letter off by saying: 'I am the techer'.

The note was posted to Imgur by user AtLeastMyInternetConnectionWorks and got drew plenty of amusement from the forum.

"Seems legit" said one user.

"The double exclamation points have convinced me of its authenticity," wrote another.

Good try Colin.
