Dad who built play kitchen for his son responds to trolls who said it was 'gay'
Dad Andrew Hook last week posted a number of photos online of the building process behind his son's new birthday present.
Hook had hand-made a small play kitchen from a second hand entertainment unit that cost him $20.
He posted a number of 'How To' images online along with a few of his son Owen opening and playing with his present.
However, Hook wasn't expecting a number of negative and abusive comments he received, including "seems a little gay to me" and "I hope your son gets beat up in school".
Replying, he wrote: "F**k you".
"Anytime we go to our local science centre, or to the children's museum, he always wants to play in the kitchen playset area. He always wants to watch us cook and likes being involved, so we thought this would be a good idea".
"If my kid wanted a Barbie I would get it for him".
"Let me stress this again... HE IS 2".
"I have seen him get excited and play with a broom. Ya'll need to chill. Kids are going to play with what they want, and if you try to prevent them from doing something as harmless as playing with the toy they want to play with, they are going to end up resenting you".
