Celine Dion surprised this couple by photobombing their engagement
A couple trying to capture their engagement was photobombed by a shocked Celine Dion.
Celine Dion fan Austin McMillan and her boyfriend Nick Janevski, both 24, were attending the Canadian superstar's Las Vegas show this weekend when Janevski popped the question.
when @celinedion is just as shocked as you are at your PROPOSAL !!! there are no words to describe this moment! what i thought was just going to be a special night seeing my favorite performer turned out to be a night filled with so much happiness, surprise & celebration with everyone we love & even ended with donuts and ice cream so idk how it could get better! i get to marry the man of my dreams & grow old with my best friend ❤ God's timing is so perfect. nothing could be better than this!!
Cosmpolitan reports that Nick put months of planning into the event and contacted Celine's team about securing private backstage passes to meet the singer so that he could propose to Austin after the show.
But perhaps Celine wasn't aware of what Nick was planning to do because as he got down on one knee, nobody looked more surprised than the she did.
"I was completely shocked. I didn't even say yes [right away]. That's why [Celine's] face was like that," Austin told the magazine.
She eventually did say yes, once the shock had passed, and took to Instagram to share the photos, alongisde the caption: "When @celinedion is just as shocked as you are at your PROPOSAL.
"Celine Dion is about the only person i wouldn’t mind photobombing the pictures of our proposal. I’m still floating around in the clouds over here feeling like it’s a dream!! my heart is so happy!! what a dream come true."
The couple are planning to get married in May in Malibu, California.
