DJ Evian Christ was mistakenly put in a cage after his set at Leeds Festival as officials thought he was a gatecrasher.
The 24-year-old DJ has worked with the likes of Kanye West and is considered to be a rising music producer on the dance scene.
However, officials at Leeds Festival had no idea who the Cheshire native was.
The DJ live-tweeted from the cage to reveal that he was being detained as security thought he was trying to sneak into the event.
He posted a video to let fans know of the situation, and lamented that he wouldn't be able to perform his set at Reading Festival later today.
The New York City based producer tweeted, "really tho actually got put in a cage at a festival headlined by mumford and sons because the festival staff didnt believe i was a dj ... and thought i was 'trying to break into the festival' after my set".
"i was given a sticker which i wore. they said 'anyone could have found it and put it on' then they took it off me".
At one stage, he also tweeted, "please #freeevian".
