Meet Liam. He's been servicing boilers for Bord Gais for 18 years.

And he's gone viral since his very appealing profile pic was posted to the Bord Gais Facebook page on Tuesday evening.

THe company uploaded Liam's lovely mugshot with the caption, "Meet our service engineer Liam! Liam has been servicing boilers for 18 years. That’s over 20,000 boilers and at least 6,500 cups of tea. For expert boiler care you can trust http://brd.gs/BSLiam"

Liam's appeal has not gone unnoticed by the women (and some men) of Ireland with almost 500 taking to Facebook to log their appreciation.

Needless to say, their comments range from sweet to downright filthy.

"You know how to get our attention Bord Gais. Is it 1 sugar or 2 Liam?" wrote Eimear Cooney while Mairin Dunne said, "I am getting my boiler serviced on Tuesday. Just wondering, what the timetable is looking like that day for Liam as he looks like he has a very nice personality."

Gareth Connolly was a little more direct: "Oh hi Liam. Is it only Boilers you service???" as was Sheila Comerford: "Be like Liam.  Liam is hot" and Carmel O'Shea who opted for the old pipes gag, "No boiler... but the pipes need a good flushing out:D".

Some commenters did point out that if Liam was a man some of the comments would be deemed extremely sexist.

Helen Conway wrote, "Lol if it was a female engineer's pic and men were commenting like this they would be ostracised for being sexist and it would constitute sexual harassment!!"

Anne Marie O'Connor added, "Oh he's handsome. I would prefer someone's credentials not their face if I want my gas boiler 'serviced'. What is this? A Carry On film?"

It didn't stop them from continuing to stream in...

Leah Wallace had this, "Opens door in negligee: "Oh Liam, thank goodness you're here, it's so HOT, I think my boilers about to EXPLODE".

Mary Walsh, meanwhile, wrote, "My boiler suddenly broke *hides hammer*"

Liam has been noticed outside of Ireland too.  Erin Mitchell quipped, "Gas is currently being installed in our neighborhood in St. Petersburg, Florida. We need expertise. Liam needs a holiday."

Let's hope Liam appreciates his newfound fame.  The Bord Gais marketing department is surely his biggest fan.
